FREE Healthy Pregnancy Classes
are an introduction to my regular series of Childbirth Classes and are also a public service to the community.
We will discuss normal pregnancy changes, how to be more comfortable during pregnancy, and how to stay healthy and low risk.
There will be valuable coupons, door prizes, and free giveaways as well. So come and have a great time and
learn about having a healthy pregnancy and a happy birth-day!
Upcoming Regular Series Childbirth Class Starting Dates:
Thursday, 29 May 2008 @ 7:00 PM
Thursday, 18 September 2008 @ 7:00 PM
*note: due to my husband's
work schedule, the class dates may need to be adjusted from time to time (we may need to skip a week or have class on
a different day of the week occasionally)
Regular Series Childbirth Classes:
Lonny and I teach the standard 12-week series of Bradley Method® childbirth classes
according to the American Academy of Husband-Coached Childbirth outlines, plus a monthly FREE "Healthy Pregnancy"
Class (see above). Our classes are video enriched. Classes are kept small, and so there is limited space.
Cost is $200, and includes the student workbook. We strongly recommend that you purchase and read Husband-Coached
Childbirth by Robert Bradley, MD., and Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way by Susan McCutcheon (before
the class series begins, if possible). We also have a lending library where our students can check out books and videos.
Class topics include:
Prenatal Exercise
Nutrition
Relaxation Techniques
Husband/Coach Participation
Basic Anatomy and Physiology of the Laboring Woman During Each Stage of Labor
Medical Interventions
Unexpected Situations Such as Cesarean and Emergency
Childbirth
Positive Communications
Breastfeeding
There is homework assigned in this class, and it is our
hope that you will come ready and willing to learn. You will get out of this class what you put into it. As a
couple, you will become closer to each other if you follow the homework suggestions. In this class you will be invited
to discuss many important things with your spouse, and doing so will only be beneficial to you as a couple, and will help
you through your birth. You will be taught to work as a team.
I am available for email or telephone help most any time. Call if you have concerns
or questions you would like to discuss. I am also available to attend births, and for telephone support when you are
in labor.

Comments
from some of my students:
While in labor, between contractions, to her husband, "Honey! It's working!" ... to which
he replied, "I know, now stop getting so excited and relax like you are supposed to!"
"We had a great birth. Thank you for teaching
us."
"We couldn't have done
it without your help."
"At first I was worried that we might have a real nut for an instructor (you know, like a flower-child
or something), and I told my wife we would be 'outta there' if the instructor did or said anything weird or bizzare.
You set us at ease right away, and the class turned out to be very down-to-earth and informative."
"This class would be good for anyone who is even THINKING
about having children."
"I felt very comfortable throughout the entire labor and delivery because I knew what was going on the
entire time. I was able to effectively support my wife through each stage of labor. Thank you"
